i dont know, but if ur carb is nething like a tb's there is a one way valve on a hose hangin down from your carb and if water or stuff blockes it up, ur engine will shut off.

I have had mine in over the seat. I put my feet on the back rack and the front will float up and help keep the air intakes dry. Hard to steer that way! It's a wonderful thing to get thru a deep hole and have to winch out you buddy. I love it.

Well i am sure the sportsmans are more suited for going through mud water etc then scramblers and i have had my scrambler in water past the PVT cover, with out any trouble... As long as you don't go past the PVT air inlet you will be fine..

theres a guy i ride with that has a 500 and he made a lil cover for his clutch that slips right on when he trys to go through the big holes. but takes it off right after b/c the belt needs air to cool off. but anyhow once water gets into the clutch and the belts starts to slip you are pretty much done until u get pulled out. and to let the water out u might want to make a drain plug but what i just do on my tb take off the small tubing piece of tubing thats it hooked onto teh cover and put it and neutral and rev it up for a a lil while and the water starts coming out and drying ( i know it isnt good for the belt but you got to do what u got to do)

Had my 400 up to the bottom of the gas tank
I have extended the cvt exhaust vent up (which is the lowest opening) to be able to get that deep
lots of times i'm up to the top of the cvt cover

had the water splash the top headlight!!! started going through a river and it kept getting deeper and deeper so I finally beached the front end on the bank. So I backed it out and never slowed down
