i don't want to take a lot of crap for posting this but i just want to know. what bike is faster stock for stock, the yfz450 or the 450r. i haven't been in touch with the atv world lately. so i totally missed the release of the 450r and missed what everyone said about it. so could someone let me know which is fastest stock for stock. thanks everyone

Yep the YFZ is faster.They did a shootout between the YFZ and the 450r in the March issue of DirtWheels.
I like them both if I had to choose it would be tuff...

 

that shoot out was BS.. dirtwheels doesnt know anything...
the yfz does 72 stock.. the 450r is said to do 74.
that doesnt make it faster thru the gears tho... just fastest top end.
you cant go wrong with either bike.

 

i would choose the yfz just for the reasons that i think its set up better has electric start and i feel more comfy on it [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

My brother got a 450r last weekend and we are going riding Sunday. But i dont think the 450r is as fast as my 450.

 

I agree with all YFZ fans. The YFZ is definately quicker on acceleration, as for top end I'm not really sure.

 

the YFZ has a little stronger acceleration and the TRX has a 3-4mph higher top speed...they had them both at a local snowmobile drag race fest....in the 300 it was close but the YFZ won, in the 500ft the TRX won by about half a quad length, and in the 1000 ft drag the TRX won by about 10 feet

 

they also had the sickest banshee i've ever seen, went over 100MPH!!!! i wish i would have asked about it and found out what was put into it, but i didnt, so i have no idea

 

The fastest one is the one with either a lighter or better rider.
