last monday i got what i belived to be an LT250 hibrid with RM250 engine,

i was told it had a couple of problems so i nipped it down to theshop that look after my zilla,

one of the first things they said to me was that it looked to big to be a 250, thay commemted on its wide axle and A Arms, the a arms are definitly Zilla,

anyway its been playing on my mind,

Please take a good look at the photos in my page cos im beginig to think ive got a zilla with an RM250 engine in, and that the LT250 plastics have just been put on,
i noticed that the front plastics stop short of the end of the frame, but ive seen pics of 250s where the plastics end where the frame does, were the frames for the 250 redesigned??

please have a look and help me find out whats what, im realy confused as to what ive got sat here,


any advise greatly appreciated,

 

one thing i notice between the zilla i had and my 92 lt is that the rear shock rezzies on the zilla was mounted on the frame rail like yours and the lt it was mounted on the grab bar?? just my two cents... it does look more like a lt250???

 

Well after studying your pics very carefully UKzilla I believe you have a Zilla frame and chassis components with LT250R Plastic and seat with an RM engine what year I don't know but thats what I think it is.

yeah im begining to think its a zilla frame myself, its not a problem in its self, just that i wanted something different from my zilla for everyday use and had put a post up about getting the LT250 and ws worried it might just seem like an underpowered zilla, everyone reasured me that its not and the 250 would make a good toy,

looks like ive made a mistake with this one and ive ended up with an underpowered zilla,LOL

Uk, I have also studied your pics and agree with the other guys and your assumption. I believe you have an lt500 rame with 250 plastics, and a a somewhere around 1987-90 rm motor . Best thing i can tell you is get the numbers off the engine and go to a Suzuki dealer . Or keep checking e bay find another 500 motor and stuff her back in there .That is of course if the bike hasnt been hacked apart to bad. I've owned 3 quadracers an 87,89,and a 90 and thats defintley not a 250 chassis.Hope it works out for you !

Ill just off load it i think,

for what i payed for it you just dont find race quads in the uk, so i should get my money back,

just put a deposit on a genuine 250 with proper engine to cheer my self up[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

I thought it was just a really chopped up LT250R frame with xilla shocks and A-arms. Wish I had more experience with the LT500R, should have bought that one that got away...

yeah i would have never given it a second thought if the shop hadnt put the thought im my mind, shame realy,

i had no problems with it having the RM engine, if it had been a 250 chasis, but if its zilla then its just underpowered compared to what im used to,

 

I wonder what the RMZilla weighs...?
