The grab bar looks like a 250. The 500 has the big elaborate grab bar and the 250 has just a basic hoop I believe. The plastic does look like it fits funny in the front. Here is a link that might be helpful quad page , is he from your neck of the woods?
By the way I lost the other thread about painting your frame but the pics of it looks awesome.

hehe, your Geography is terrable Tom,
yeah i think the 250 grab has been put on to help the 250 plastics fit, Thanks for the compliment on the frame, the front end is built up now, just waiting for linkage bearings for the rear end to get the swinger on, the engine cases are away at the mo being stripped gona be a combination of the same blue as the frame and some polishing, i had a stroke of luck with the RX fixes cos the cases have factory fitted bearing inserts so once the gear parts turn up from suzuki it shouldnt tke long to get it all back together,

hehe, your Geography is terrable Tom,
Wow, you're making good progress and picking up more toys in the process. Hope it continues to go well, it's nice to see people finishing their projects. Even if it's not me!

Hey UK,to solve your problem, check the piece of frame that is infront of the engine, that does'nt look normal to me.It look's like someone welded it in to fit the small engine. I've never seen the front piece of the frame where the engine mount's rap under like that on a 250 frame,so that's what make's me think they were welded in to fit the 250 engine, plus the pipe is really close to the plastic, almost touching.I think also you got a Zilla framecuz the plastic look's too small for it.
