I would like to find out what the stock jet size is for a US spec 03 ds650 Baja. I had a big gun system installed and they said the stock jetting is 175, and that I didn't need to replace it. Also would like to know what jetting I should use, bone stock with K&N, outerware, and big gun full quit system.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]

 

Im thinkin it was a 165, correct me if im wrong, its been awhile. A 175 DynoJet main is probably equivelent or pretty close to the 165 stock mikuni main jet.

Do you know if he put in a mikuni main jet or a dynojet main jet??

EDIT: A 175 mikuni main jet sounds about right for your mods, but i dont know your elevation or the temperature at where you live.

 

I am in sothern California and the elevation is anywhere fro sea level to about 3000 ft. The problem is that I don't think that they changed the jetting, They told me that it already had a 175 jet. I am the firsty owner and I have not done anything to it yet

I know its not a 175; its either a 160 or 165. Turn your fuel tank to "off" when its running and let it run out of gas. Take the 4 screws out of the bottom of your carb, put a rag underneath the carb too. Once you get that off you will see the main jet right in the middle. It will say what size it is right at the end.

I think the Stock main jet is a mikuni 165.

 

I am not sure how it is running right now. it has been raining for the last 3 days, they installed the race pipe not the quit system, and didn't put the air cleaner lid back on. I have started it in the garage and it is LOUD!!! I let it idel for about 30 seconds and blipped the throttle and it popped and missed.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]
