What is up with polaris i planned on getting a 2001 400 2x4 scrambler for my wife hoping before i buy they will come up with something faster newer and they drop the ball. they delete the only fast, 2 stroke sport quad and replace it with another four stroke 500 what a dissapointment. is this the most backwards thing that could happen. tell me it u think i am wrong but all the other manufactures are bring out all kinds of new sport quad and polaris decides to quit making the only one that had a chance way to go somebody was thinking i guess i will start looking for a used machine aarrrgghhh!!

you should be able to pick up a new 2000 at a reduced price, shouldn't you? my dealer still has one.

Polaris did not drop the Scrambler 400 2x4. The models on their website are the early release 2001's. Not the full lineup.

The reason they only have the Scrambler 500 2x4 there is it's the only 01 they have put info out. Seems to me they have more to show us!

"more to show us?"

Aside from the 50cc and 90cc mini's due out around Sept. The other quads will most likely have asthetic improvments, in the form of "new" graphics.

Rest assured LT500R, the 400L will be available in '01, in both 2WD and 4WD versions. Being the performance orientated kind of guy I know you are I might be willing to make a deal on my '99 Sport, if you think the wife can handle it. E-mail me for specs and a few pics, jnlgoodman@cwbusiness.com

Just went my local dealer yesterday. He had 4 new 400 Scramblers. Two 4x4's and 2 4x2's. Even if they did stop making the 4x2 (they haven't) you would probably be able to find a new model from last year in a showroom somewhere.
