I've got an '02 Sportsman 400 that has had a few issues in the time I've owned it. I bought it new. It has a problem losing all of it's electrical functions, lights, speedo, odometer, and 4x4, every now and then. The problem happenes very often when the lights are being used. They'll flash on and off, along with everything else electrical like a blinker on a car. When the lights aren't being used it doesn't happen near as much. I've checked all my grounds on the machine and made sure they are all tight. Wondering if anyone has any idea what could be causing this. It's been doing it for quite some time, I've posted about it before. Maybe someone has some new info that could help me out. Thanks for any help.

 

You'll need to give us more info than that. Does it only happen while your riding? If so is it when your going over bumps? Try leaving the machine idle whith the lights on does it still happen? The more info you can give us the better we can help you narrow down the problem.

 

No, it cuts out at idle as well. Riding, sitting still, it doesn't matter.
