We bought two AC 500I on the title one had 32HP and on the other had 27HP. We ask the dealer and he did not know why. We look at other titles he had for the 03, 500I and again they had different HP ratings from 26 to 32. Does anyone else have any idea why?

 

they must dyno the individual engines when they leave the factory or something and that is what they are putting out at that time. Keep in mind this is only my guess.

 

I think you might be correct. I know they run every unit that comes off the line, so that does make sense.

 

Maybe some are early year models? I know that they boosted the hp from 2002 to 2003, and maybe some of the first 03 models had the 02 engines. Other than that, I have no idea. I think I remember my 99 AC500 said 29.5 on the statement of origin.
