I always read my manual and I also thourouly read my shop manual which I feel everyone should own. Everyone should run 91 or higher octane regardless of engine size. I run a 50/50 mixture of 110 race fuel which has lead in it and 92 octane which puts me around 100 actane. I do this for two reasons 1. the added lead to pump gas adds cooling to my motor 2. performance---- a cooler running motor produces more power. P.S. don't run octane booster as that doesn't give you the cooling properties and added performance----you must run a high quality race fuel, and most importantly dont run to much octane as your motor will not be able to burn all the fuel. I run 50/50 which is more than enough you could even run a little less race fuel than that. I buy my race fuel from Indianapolis Race Way Park and various other places in the city I am sure you all have places you can get it...

I run a 1:5 mix of 91 octane pump gas and 108 octane VP's C12. My neighbor is the regional distributor for VP, so he gives me a price break!

You should always run 91/93 pump gas on a quad. I would never run anything less.
