Not enough information. Hoe old is unit, how many miles? Why does it need valve adjustment (who says). Can you do it yourself? Can you do it in 10 minutes?

A valve adjustment for 56 bucks is a steal, especially when you can't do the work yourself. If you could I don't think you would have posted this. Anyway I highly doubt that ANYONE could do a valve adjustment in 10 minutes.

Do you do your own root canals????

In all seriousness, that seems a little soon to me. What does your manual say. Go by that, nothing else.

Yea, the owners manual says nothing about it. Also if it runs fine why mess with it. If your dealer pops open that valve cover it will never be right again thats if they open it they just may take your earned mony and do nothing. You know if it is not broke dont fix it. Just keep up with normal oil changes. The machine will let you know if it needs ajustments.

Not sure if I totally agree with Redcruiser. I think that's a little too hands off. Go by the manual.

I am not saying dont look into it. My manual is for all 04 AC atvs but not the 650. I could find nothing about it. My buddy has a grizz and it ran fine when he took it in to have the valves adjusted. Well he got if back and now it runs horrible now he has to take it to another dealer to have them adjusted again.

My dealer did mine after about 3-400 miles, and they covered it under warranty, he told me that because they actually had to adjust my intake valve that it was a warranty issue, but he also said that mine was the first one that they had to adjust anything on, he said that they usually dont go out, but it is a good thing to get them checked.

Have never had to adjust valves on 400's. Only one's we have had to have been the 454 and 250/300 models. I don't think you should need this done if it is running and starting fine. If you are worried about if it will be covered under warrenty ask your dealer, I don't believe that it will be if the bike is not acting up in any way.
