Default Which Starter Quad is better Honda vs. Yamaha????

I'm thinking about buying 2 more quads either a Yamaha Raptor 80cc, Yamaha Breeze, Honda sportrax 90cc as a starter bike for my kids who are 10, 15. Or a bigger quad for my other kid who is 17. If you have any suggestions on a good quad for the dunes and dirt let me know.

90cc for a fifteen year old...seems a little small, anyway, I'd go with the Honda

Honda 90 for the 10 year old. Yamaha Blaster, Honda 300EX, or Honda 250EX for the 15 year old (fully manual or autoclutch, you choose). And, a Honda 400EX or or Suzuki Z400 for the 17 year old.

OK, I am assuming that the kids are all experienced riders??? If not, get the 90 first. Let the 15 year old ride it a while until they get in a little saddle time. Then buy the Blaster/300EX/250EX, and let the 17 year old get broken in riding that. Then buy the 400 class bike.

Oh yeah, and a second job!

personally I'd buy them blasters becuase then they lern how to use the clutch and shift. and they can be modified as your kids get better get better. thats what my step brother started out on when he was 15. but if I had to choose I'd say the honda

Yeah, a 90cc for a 15 year old would be way to small. I had a Blaster ever since I was 10 yrs. old and I'm 14 now. It's been a perfect quad throughout the years. I'd go with a Blaster for the 15 year old or a 300 or 400ex depending on how experience he has. For the 10 year old anything with a around a 250 or one of them Suzuki Z250's would work good enough for the dunes. At the age of 17 a 400ex or Z400 anything in that range would work perfect. Even a Banshee if he wants some power!

90cc is itsy bitsy for a 15 y/o, unless he is a little on the smaller side. I started out on a honda 70 4 wheeler when i was 4 lol, you might wanna go a wee bit bigger. Blaster is a good choice, personally i would start with a 300/400EX or the Z400, that way he can start out on the lower gears of the wheeler, and as the 15 y/o gets better he can try a little more power ect in the higher gears. for me, i got my first sport quad when i was 14, im 15 now with the same quad, predator
