I have the aluminum alba ones. I wrecked real bad a few months ago and the edges cut the front plastic and the front of the quad was smashed and the shrouds were still okay. I don't think that they would take a direct hit from another quad, but they are strong and they fit very well.

I have the Graydons and they are just fine. I think if I had the Baja X I would get the alba just for the looks. I would also get the frame guards they sell..
But for me the silverones look fine.

I bought my Carbon Fiber shrouds off the company that makes them for Alba. The guy was selling them on Ebay for a while and I went to his house and dropped about 500 bucks on carbon fiber. He made me a really good deal. I cant remember the name of the company but he and another guy were the owners.
