I have just started moding my 300ex. What are some good easy mods to start with? I will most likely get a FMF powercore IV2. I am wondering if sprocket mods are a good thing to do to my Quad.

ITP Holeshots
Maier handguards

I also have a stock 300EX. The only thing I am going to get for it is some new rear tires...BearClaws or Sur-Traks....and a SuperTrapp. That is about all it will be getting.

when I got my 300ex the first thing I did was get rid of the lame handle bars and the lame plastic thats all over them, it felt like I was riding a moped. when I switched to aluminum bars I got a lot more vibration, so I used some vibration eliminators on the ends of the bars and it worked great. I relocated the key to the side next to the fender, you can kind of see it in my pics. I got some bandits for the trails and some dune hoppers for the dunes. I also had to get a new grab bar when I went a little to far over in some whoops. now I got a DG grab bar, and its almost indestructable. SILVER LAKE SAND DUNES THIS WEEKEND!!!

I recommend a K&N or UNI air filter along with a new header/pipe combo. If you do that you'll also have to rejet your carb.

Well at least you changed the tires from stock. Next you should put a pipe on and jet the carb. I have a full MX TC405ex race bike see my link for photos.

This is dirttrash I forgot to say that my 300ex has holeshot tires. I mainly ride local trails the jumps range from 1 foot tall to 8 feet. Most of the time I am pushing the trottle for more speed.

If your always looking for more throttle. It's time too start on the engine. I highly recommend TC Racing.

I started off with an exhaust . It is one of the easiest mods you can do. I first bought a DG but I should have saved my money , they don't last long when you jump alot. I now have a supertrapp and love it much quieter than the DG and more power. A K&N filter is a good eay way also. I did all these first and rejetted my carb and I have alot more usable power. But of course I out grew that and need more so I went in the engine and got a 330 kit fot it. I am having an oil cooler installed also but this wasn't cheap it cost me $750 installed. I get it back the 22nd of this month and I can't. Four stroke tech is doing my work.Shocks are next, bottom out on every jump.
