sp 700 heelclicker questions

sp 700 heelclicker questions
Ordered a heelclicker kit for my 02 700 and noticed they require a shim behind the spider. The website directions show a HUMONGOUS wrench. Will my dealer be able to seperate the spider and install the shim if I remove the clutch and bring it to them? Has anyone else used this kit and is the shim needed? How is the overall performance gain? Thanks
