Default 28 inch tires - Suspension Problem on the 650

I put 28 inch mudlites on and now when I accelerate the rear suspension sags. When I take off the rear suspension drops down and never recovers. If I stop I can lift the suspension up 5 to 6 inches. If I go back to my 26 inch 589s or my stock tires I dont have this problem. I am losing a lot of clearance with the suspension sagging. Does anyone have any idea on how to correct this. I have the suspension cranked up as far as it will go and it still does it. I would love to get some help with this because I really like the 28 inch mudlites but I dont like losing the clearance.

thats very strange...I have 27" MudBugs and it will squat a little under hard accelleration but it comes back. I have nevr adjusted mine from factory settings. You may have bad shock valves, talk to the dealer and see what they say! I just went out to mine before replying and mine will not pull up but maybe an inch before the tires come off the ground. Hope you get it fixed!

ive got 28 in 589s on mine and my spring settings are on the 2nd setting it dont sag or squat at all i weigh 205 lbs maybe your springs are weak? tires shouldnt affect the bike squatting or you can try the 650 le front springs there a little higher rate according to articat due to fact bumper brush guard and winch

Are you testing it on pavement? There is a certain amount of scrub with any a-arm suspension that requires "sideways slippage" to move up and down. Try it on loose dirt or grass....... just guessing here.

try setting your shocks to a stiffer setting and see if it makes a differance.
i have mine on the stiffest setting and mine dont sag at all and it handles better a speed because it dosent have as much body roll now.
and after a few miles of riding you'll get used to it.
then when you try and soften it up later you'll find it rolls alot in the corners and you will put it back on the stiffest setting again.
thats what i did.
