Twist throttle for woods?
#1
Is a motion pro vortex twist throttle to fast for woods? It only twist about 1/8 of a turn to WOT. Is this to fast acting for woods/mx racing due to the pounding and moving around? Maybe to easy to get outta control. Any opinions.

I've never noticed the twist on your quad Mitch, shows how perseptive I am. LOL. I tried the motion pro twist CR style I think, it wasn't 1/8 turn for sure. I hated it on my Raptor. I grew up riding dirt bikes but just couldn't get used to it on the quad. The quad bumpier ride would make me in advertantly hit the throttle some and I felt unsafe with it. My brother has a twist on his DS and it feels fine when I ride his quad, just couldn't deal with it on mine.

twist throttle- oh no- never. As soon as you get in a bad spot and grab the bars good to hang on you will sometime give it full throttle, well that is not a good result to have, I don't like them at all , but that's just my opinion, everyone likes something different.

I would never put a twist throttle on my Rappy, I had a very bad experience with a Quadzilla, a front end off the ground, me holding on for dear life, and a pinion pine tree. I would have traded for a thumb throttle any day. Dont know how those dirt bike guys pull it off but it must be a sign that Im an old-F.

twist throttle no good for quads IMO cause of body position & stuff
make that tight left hand turn and try and still have good throttle control
dont know how pro riders do it
as for bikes your sitting in a much diff position
