Default Tire Spinning on Wheel ??? Bead not holding

Has this happened to anyone? My right rear tire (Hauler 22" on Dougles BLK) has been slipping on hookup, the wheel turns but the tire slips. It still holds air and the bead looks fine. I checked by marking and axle, hub, and tire and sure enough the tire is sliding as the wheel spins. I normally run 3-5 PSI, I upped it to 9 and that helped but didn't stop completely. I gues I will pull the tire off and rough up the matting surfaces.
Any other suggestions? The tires are fairly new....

my friend 250r spins the tire on the inside, and the out side is a beadlock.

SandBomb, you have a problem with that tire. As you know, no one tire is the same. More than likely your tire was right on the bubble of being in good shape. Less likely that the rim is a tad small or abscurely made. Try another Hualer (I know that sucks!) and I'll bet your problem will be cured. You could try to find some bead glue, but once on, the next time you try to remove the tire, you'll have tire and wheel problems.

Good Luck

I would rub some pine tar (the stuff baseball players use to make their hands sticky) on the bead. That's a trick that gunsmiths use to keep scopes from slipping in large caliber rifles. It should keep the bead from slipping, but will let go when you want to break the bead. You can clean it up with a little rubbing alcohol later. If you try it let us know if it works. I've never tried it on a tire, but I've used it on my rifles.

weld the tire to the rim......

new wheel/tire is going to be the sure-fire fix...

Default Tire Spinning on Wheel ??? Bead not holding

I pulled the tire off tonight, the thing slid right off the bead without much force. I had a second set of wheels so I cleaned up the tire and remounted on the other wheel and it took quit a bit of pressure to seat the bead with a loud pop. I did notice that the old wheel had a small dent on the inside, seems strange it would hold air but slip for the entire weekend. I'll keep my fingers crossed on my next ride.

thanks for the insight.
