yesterday (saturday) we picked up my sons new bike a used 01 banshee it looked great ,first stop on the way home pine forests to give it a testing ,he thrashed it around no probs it went great,we then loaded it back on the ute and headed for the dunes, raced around for about an hour no probs then when he stopped by me i smelt rubber burning the top and bottom hose connection on the head was smoking obviously very hot i looked at the back coolant reservoir and it was nearly empty so we stopped riding and took the bike home, when we checked the hose clamps they were both loose not good so we retightened and topped up coolant started bike no probs,went back to pines today(sun) after 5 mins riding my son said it was,nt sounding right no coolant again on further inspection we noticed the rad was empty so we fiiled it up as we did water came out the nipple on the head the hose there was,nt connected either so we clipped that back on as we did i noticed a head nut missing an when i checked the rest they were all loose , by then i was so pissed, back on the ute and back to the dealer tomorrow, do u think its damaged the head,or do we just tightnen the head nuts ourselves and top up coolant and hope thats ok ,all advice would be great as we are not bike mechanics and we don,t want the dealer to rip us off........... thanks
