How many hours do you have on your big bore Raptor? Piston type and overbore, rod, balanced crank....whatever....please list your internals and approx hours. I know a lot are garage cuties......do we have one over 250 hours?

Does the lack of replies to this post mean reliability is too embarassing to admit? Should I forget about future upgrades? Watching............

My buddy has a Powroll 770 that is going over a year with no problems. No enternal engine let down's, and no problem's to list.

It has a titanium rod, and the crank has been balenced.

Honestly mine is a garage cutie (not by choice either...I just have bad luck). I really don't have a whole bunch of hours on my motor, but EVERY single minute is WFO..no doubt. I have not had any engine problems other than the clutch grenading, but I have that fixed now (I hope).

I am a stock rod, stage2, 102mm JE piston, with about 12.5/1 comp. ratio. I keep on top of my valve adjustments and I do change the oil often, because of the methanol, but its a good thing anyway. I say I have about 100 hours on this piston and cam.

As soon as I get my swingarm in I will be testing everything out. I am going to run just asphault now so if something is going to break it should show up.

Done right (with rod and balancing) and taken care of I think a big bore will be just as reliable as a stock motor....well almost.

So far my KENZ CYCLE TECH built 727 has been rock-solid reliable. It's got about 75 hours of mostly WOT hill and flat drag racing, and about 60 dyno pulls(I've let Ken use it for a lot of R&D) as well.

Internals: Carrillo rod, JE 12.5:1 compression 105mm piston, crank lightened and balanced, Stage II Hotcam, and Stainless oversize valves.

As well as my bike starts(stock-modded carbs. Fires up instantly, even ice cold, and goes to a high idle), idles, and runs, I'm sure it'll be going for a long time to come.
