Wanting to put my pro flow foam filter kit on my new raptor with no lid and stock pipe for now. Should i get a dynojet kit or just use bigger mikuni jets, think i should have some mikuni ones to do it.

I think a jet kit is a waste of money. You can accomplish the same thing with larger mikuni jets. Make sure that you increase evenly.

 

you shouldn't have to buy a jet kit for just doing that to your quad, it shouldn't make that much of a difference until you put a aftermarket pipe on it then get a kit for it

 

yeah i was gonna do that first , just wondering if anyone else is running like that.

Did the dyna-jet stage 2 kit (with fuel needles) on my 01 and Im having trouble getting it to idle correctly and on hard braking (diving on the front binders) it wants to stall. any help?!

 

Get the Dynojet kit. It comes with the jets for a stock machine with modified intake (like yours) as well as the jets for after you add a pipe. The Dynojet kit contains not only main jets but also new needles & springs. The main jets handle only 3/4 to full throttle, the needles affect the thottle from 1/4 to 3/4. Bottom line, just changing the main jets means you'll have a lean mid range even though thetop end with be fine. One of the things I liked best about the Dynojet kit on mine was the manner of power delievery. The quad was "snappier" than stock. You could wack the throttle and it would practically stand up on the grab bar; no bog or pause. It was a grin.
