04 DS650X New to forum

Hi all,
I bought a 04 DS650X two weeks ago! Got to ride some the trails around Coal country here in PA last week end, DS did great. Wheelies really easy on the coal hills, great power, another happy DS owner!
I'm looking for a 03 or earlier swing arm and any info on if all the 04 stuff will fit the earlier swing arms. If you have one please PM me!
Thanks for all the great info on the site!

Welcome to the forum,
I did the conversion on my 04 Baja. You will need a new longer chain, longer brake line, all 4 plastic guides and rub pads, brake caliper bracket that mounts to hub carrier, lower shock bolt, and lower shock shims. But it's worth the effort, mine handles so much better after the conversion.

Not to disagree with JMAC, but you may want to talk to bartlet racing. He could launch his DS in the sand at full throttle and it wouldn't wheelie. There is a lot that can be adjusted in the suspension to take the wheelie tendencies out of it. Also on a track, the shorter swingarm will help you turn faster.
