Here's the thing i can't seem to figure out my left cylinder is running way rich, while my right one doesn't seem to be running rich if it is it's a little. I've tried adjusting the air/fuel mixture screw into about every position and it still is way rich. It just had a rebuild i checked the compression myself and i had 120psi in each cylinder. I just bought it sunday it's 2000, i think it still has the stock 2 into 1 air foam filter. So took the air box lid off and the thing ran amazing, i do realize that this might have leaned out the righ side carb, but here's the kicker it still was smoking on the left side, i could put my hand back there and feel fuel and oil coming through on my hand, i could see the oil. But it wasn't running like it was rich when i took the air box lid off, the right side might have been a little lean but it couldn't have been much, because the thing took off. All my parts are stock so what do you think i should do to eliminate the problem of the left side carb being way too rich. I thought about getting twin K&N's with outer wears and maybe run without the air box lid, or i will still get the twin K&N's and not use outer wears and just drill holes in the top of the lid, and put the foam circle inserts in. Another decision i can't seem to figure out is which pipes to get? T-5's or TR-6's, which one? I realize i would have to rejet after these mods so which jet kit would be the best? Also what are your opinions on my carb situation? Is there anywhere i can buy just different size jets? And another question can i get a different petcock on my fuel tank where it will allow two lines of gas to run striaght from the gas tank instead of branching them off from one carb to the other? Last question on the air/fuel mixture screw on my shee which way makes it leaner and which way makes it richer (turning it in makes it richer, turning it out makes it leaner?) Any help is much appreciated.
