I am considering the purchase of the Armadillo (plastic) skid plate from Charley's. Does anyone have any experience with this particular skid plate or know someone who does? How does it perform? Any disadvantages?

I have the swingarm skid on my 400ex... It installs in about 2 minutes, and is tough as nails. I can't imagine what it would take to bend the thing, and we ride mostly in gravel pits (lots of big rocks).

I've never heard of Armadillo making plastic skid plates. Theirs and PRM make the best swing arm skid plates.

I should have mentioned that mine is the aluminum variety... I have not heard of Armadillo making plastic skids either.

They do make plastic skidplates. Check out their website .... they have all kinds of must haves. At least that is what I tell my wife.
