i have a 2001 scram 500 2x4, i just had hot seat speed kit installed by local dealer, great improvement, but it backfires on deaccelleration , i have to take it back, but can any tell me the cause of this, am i running too lean? (kit included pipe and jets , clutch kit, and k&n)

Ive experienced this problem, it was from a small crack in the exhaust pipe. The crack caused a lack of back pressure which made the machine backfire. I'd recommend with your quad running look over your pipe carefully and see if there is any place exaust could be leaking out before to gets to the end of the tail pipe.
