hi guys,it seems that the buttons i got from hpd wont sit down into the slots all the way,its like they are to thick or something,am i doing something wrong?the old ones i took out were all broke,what does that effect for performance?thanks

 

The instructions state that there is some grinding to the clutch to make them seat right.

 

You should only have to grind on the backside ,where the bolt go's thru.The buttons themselves should only fit one way,you can see how they are curved a little.

 

yeah i understand what needs to be ground off,and i also notice the curve but it just doesnt sit down into the slot i tried both ways.the bottom of the new buttons,where the bolt goes into barely sits into the slot where the stock buttons sat,im getting frustrated..

 

are the hpd buttons suppose to sit as deep as the stock ones?should i tapt them with a hammer to get them to sit right or will the bolt pull them down where they need to be?im starting to think i got defect buttons..please help..

 

From what i remember it should set down just a little.It's been over 3 years since i did mine.I know i didn't have any problems when i installed them.

 

i cant get the buttons to go in past that rectangular piece where the bolt goes into,it just doesnt seem right.are the buttons only for certain year polaris?this stinks,i wanted to ride tomorrow [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]
