Default p700 stumble under load at high end with pipe and dial-a-jets

My p700 is stumbling and missing intermintently under load (climbing steep hills) at the top end.It also seems to backfire through the pipe and carb under deceleration. I have just installed dial-a-jet and a hmf half system pipe.I am guessing its to lean but not exactly sure.It also seems a bit harder to start at higher altitiudes. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Jeremy

probably lean. do a plug test going up the hill. and you'll see if you're lean.

Top end sputter indicates to much fuel, and if higher altitudes causes this to get worse go down a jet size. As far as harder to start the main jet's should not effect this. The slow jet's will effect this along with the idle air screw. And as schl48a said, do a plug test. You will need a new set of plugs that haven't been run rich by choke ect..only my 2 cents.
