Belt squak p650
#2
If you do a search on Belt & Squeal, you will have more info than you can read. If you need further help, just ask and somebody will reply. I have gotten a lot of help on this forum myself. Basically what you need to do is install thinner shim(s) behind the secondary clutch spring.

KAWI is correct... if the belt deflection is set right, there should be no squeek or squak... if the deflection is right, & you do alot of mountain riding, or run bigger tires, you can install the black secondary spring, which increases the belt tension... if your belt is starting to become worn, replace it with the 700 belt, which is a little wider than the stock 650 belt ( which will more than likely require an addituional shim or 2 ), but it is also a better shape for "biting" the clutch sheeves...
