I've been looking into new rims and tires for mx and have noticed many different sizes and offsets available. What are some of the pros/cons to these different sizes?

 

right now you can get more low profile tires for the 8 inch rim.

 

Isnt the smaller the rim the betteR?

 

Just try the stock offset with Maxxis Razr MX tires on Douglas .190 wheels for MX. You need to go with the durable wheels. And to get the widness use some Durablue wheel spacers.

 

Wheel spacers are never recomended for MX. they break to easily off of big jumps. And i believe the most popular rims for MX are 8inch. Most beadlock rims are sold in 8inch. And get some good meats like Holeshot MX or Razr MX.
