I think they'd be better off going to buttercup, etc. The Hot Wells, or "Bowie" as it's referred to would not be worth the drive from phoenix for me. I think they're almost as close to the dunes as they are to Bowie. The race hill is a joke, and with all the knuckle heads riding around with no helmets, with their wives on back, holding newborns.....on stroked Banshee's no less, it's pretty insane. I like to go during the week, as it's pretty sweet for fast trail riding when no one's there
Rhino101 what side of Tucson do you live on? I'm eastside by the base. Do you plan on riding at all this weekend?

I live over by the NW hospital. And your right it does get a little crazy there.
I just have never been there when Hacienda puts on there drags and poker run.
I've got a couple of friends entered in the drags. They're talking abunch of smack about who's going home with the money.
Too much going on this weekend so not able to ride. Next ride will be Bowie.
Have you ridden Gardner or Rosemount?

We have 3 bikes coming out from PHX. area. We are going to camp out Fri. night.

Never been there but had friends at the drags last year and they had a good time.

That's cool, we need to hook up one of these days. I've been out to Gardner, and Rosemont quite a bit. It's pretty cool, but you need a lic. plate on your quad. The rangers are really strict about it. We do alot of our trail riding past those area's. It's called Cenega Ranch, and is about a 15 min drive past Gardner, and on the east side of the road. You can ride way back into the mountain range. Post the results of the drags, and we'll set up a ride. Have you ever been to the Muleshoe Preserve? It's a great ride, and from where we start, about 30+ miles one way.
Have fun at Bowie, and be safe.
Justin
