Rearend going out on 300ex

The bearing kit from a dealer or oem Honda part supplier is about 50-60 for 2 bearings and 2 dirt seals. Try a local bearing supplier you can get the bearings cheaper from them. The honda bearing part number applies for all bearings. I paid about $11 each for the bearings and $4 each for the dust covers. You will also need some type of bearing grease or marine grade grease and a bearing puller to pull the old bearings out.

I did it without a bearing puller. Just stick a long screwdriver in the opposite end of the bearing carrier and pop it out with a hammer. I'm sure it's not the recommended process, but it works. And set the carrier on a piece of wood so you don't ding it up when you are pounding on it.
