My buddy finally got his 2004 Raptor LE back because 1st gear went out of it. Now he has 11:1 compression piston, durablue axel, ITP Baja rims, Holeshot tires, FMF "Q" series muffler, and FMF powerbomb header.
well anyways, I rode it yesterday, it was absolutely insane, i rode it before he got the 11:1 piston too. Right before you hit the rev-limitor it gets a extra boost of power. It's like riding a 2 stroke but with tons of low end. When trying to go in a straight line, it wont do it, and the front tires just teeter, it is soo crazy. You cant even shift fast enough, you get into second gear and your helmet shakes so bad you cant hardly see, all you can do is pin it and shift again. Amazing machine, makes me wanna put a 440 kit in the EX. Just thoght I'd share that with all of you Yamaha guys. I rode my other buddy's YFZ the day before, that raptor would've trampled it.

 

He should have installed a STage 1 hot cam. That would have helped out some more as well.

 

I think he does have a cam. I just forgot to mention that. Unless he didn't take it out of his 03 Raptor. He had the Hot cam Stage 1 in his 03 Raptor, then the tranny went.

 

Sounds sweet, where can I get a piston like this and how much?
