Please let me know if you have ridden the rubicon in different types of terrain with other atv's to give a idea how it compares?

I have ridden my Rubie with 3 Yamaha's,A 2ooo Grizz.,2000 Kodiak and a 1998 Big Bear. We rode through some pretty tough spots where the Big Bear needed a little help. The Rubie did great. The Grizz has more top end, but the Rubie has a quicker low end.

Today we were riding on column piles and we had a ruicon a 2000 grizz and a 2000 kodiak. I got on the rubicon and was very impressed on how it made the hills, then hopped on the grizz and that thing just tore it apart on the hills, the kodiak almost climbed as good too, so if u want to save a couple dollars by the grizz, thats just my opinion, and i like honda.

Question. What drive mode did you have the Rubicon in? Did you have it in D1,D2 or ESP? What mods if any were on either machine including different tires? Just curious. So far I have had nothing but good performance out of my Rubicon. I'm not trying to be sarcastic. Just asking.

Thanks for the reply. D1 and D2 only work in drive. When the Rubicon is in low there is no difference between D1 or D2. I would like to hear of other comparisons between other big bores and the Ruby. Of course I am bias I own a Rubicon. I am trying to get the friend that I sold my 1999 SP500 too, to go riding so that I can compare these two quads.

Rubione,
the Sportsman is also a fine hill climber. Its weight will sometimes hamper it in tight, technicle situations.Thats the reason I own a lighter, more nimble [110 lbs lighter] Xplorer.

Can the Ruby out do these two guys in the mud/hills?I dont have that answer yet,but I hope to soon find out.====Bill
