Default Upgrades on Blaster???

For a 2004 Blaster

My son was wanting 20 inch rear tires on his blaster. WHat is the best sprocket ratio for 20". He does a lot of sand riding, trails, and dirt roads. SO, short and long runs. I know as a stock bike it needs a smaller rear sprocket.

Also what is the best pipe and silencer, for all around riding and performance. With a Reed set up??

Thanks

I put 20" tires on my son's Blaster, and left the gearing stock at the time, but it's pretty low gearing. I then added an FMF pipe and some aftermarket reeds along with airbox mods, still with stock gearing, worked fine especially since there was more rev out with the pipe. Then when I got it ported & put the Wiseco piston in I went up one tooth in the front to a 13 and now it's a little beast. Really works. Total investment in mods is maybe $550 and that sucker runs like a big boy. Well, put it this way, he weighs 85 pounds and pulls hills with that Blaster that I can't make it up (200 lbs) on our piped Raptor.

One inch on the rear tire is equal to one tooth in the back. So if you are going from a 21 to a 20 then drop one tooth on the rear to keep it the same ratio. If you leave it how it is the bike will have a little better bottom end but a loss on top speed (maybe like 2mph)
