rz500 conversion
#1
ive seen many people speak of a rz350 conversions, in which they take the powervalve cylinders off of the rz350 and put them on the banshee bottom end without any modifications. my question is has any one mounted the rz500 motor in a banshee frame? and if so were there any modifications needed?

since the rz500 is actually a 50 degree v-4, it would take quite a bit of fabricating to make it work. there is no way in hell you could use anything from a stock banshee motor with the rz500 transplant. You would have to make some motor mounts and use the rz500 tranny which isn't very off road friendly. It will do well over 50 mph in first gear. Wiring the electrical system would be a b!tch to do too. good luck to anyone that tries this. I have seen one put in a quadzilla though, so it can be done.

don't even bother, spend a few bucks on some trinity powervalves and a 250r spec frame, no 4-stroke would come close on the track, wide open, or in the trails. Then again, some may say its foolish to spend 7 g's in a fourwheeler.
