Mudlites: Wear & Tear?
#1
How well do Mudlites wear compared to Mudrunners, 589s, Gators, etc.? If it's not very impressive, can you powerslide Gators or Mudrunners reasonably well? They're going on my newly 424-equipped Rubi and believe me, I WILL be making use of my new sliding abilities

I've got 27's on my Prairie and they slide around corner quite well, although I'm not really sliding I turn into the corner then lay on the gas, my 650Prairie has so much torque and power that it just break the back wheels loose and there I go sliding around the corner. I do have to watch out for the side lugs because sometimes they like to hook up on a root or something and then you could be seeing stars.
Overall if you like to power slide, then go with a smaller size Mudlite because thier lugs aren't as big and don't grip as much as the 26, 27, and 28 inchers do.
I have about 500 miles on mine and they still look really good. I ride mostly on sand, and muddy, soft dirt conditions so mine haven't really been tortured like some peoples are. I heard they wear decent but not as good as some of the others. No experience with the Gators or Mudrunners, but the 589's my brother had on his Kodiak and they are one tough tire but weigh alot.
Sometimes you have to give a little to get a little.
Good luck.
