I was reading my guiness book of world records a few days ago, and the world record for the fastest speed ever achieved on an atv was either 89 or 98, one or the other. But of some reason i just dont beleive that is true, i am sure that i have been at least that fast a couple of times out at the sand. I am by my self on this one, or does anyone else agree with me?

 

There's definatly been someone that has beat that......right?

 

for the record you probably have to go for a mile in two directions and take the average of your speed.

 

But still, i know i have gone as fast or faster than 89 mph, i have seen people clocked at 66 going up choke cherry

 

The record is 99.26 mph. Held by Graham "G-force" hicks.

The kicker is that Graham is deaf and blind.

well i read in atv action a few months ago that the record was a yamaha banshee at 93.5mph.

 

The thing that gets me is the mph. Its low. I know that a few of the quads on this forum with proper gearing could beat this. Scooby is high on that list with his Turboed DS.

I wonder what the rules are for attempting the world record?

 

There was a banshee that ran a quater mile at 130+ MPH in 8-9 secs....

 

Why dont one of you guys on the board try to beat it!

 

I have seen this record many times. I think the blind guy still has it because noone really wants to go and take it away from him. It was an incredible accomplishment. So I think its kindof a respect thing. The kangaroo Kid (I think thats his name) from the Huevos Grande video helped the guy do it.
