exhaust valve
#1
Hey guys!
Here's a stupid question, I"m guessing , How do you know if your exhaust valve is workin?I've got the LT250 '89
I look in the window and it doesn't do anything, I run the throttle while looking in the window and all I see is the arm linkage jiggle alittle bit.So how do I know if it's workin right? Is it supposed to have more than just a jiggle to it?I'm thinking it should have noticable movement???
Hey zigzilla if you read this my quad is right above yours on the quadracer forum.

Youll likely have very poor top end performance. It wont have that surge of power when it flips. Thats how I know mines working anyways. When I put the cylinder on last time i turned the spring the wrong way, and it wouldnt even wheelie. It just doesnt have that arm stretching power surge (what rookies call the "powerband") when the valve flips.

I find it's very noticable if it's not working. Make sure the lever is down when not running and if you take the cover off it should move up and down easy. I find it's easy to get the spring preload goofed up so take the adjuster off on the other side and make sure it's right.
