make sure its in gear and have someone press on the brake, Im sure your using a breaker bar instead of an impact. If you dont have an impact, go to a tire shop or a truck stop with a tire shop and the guys can take that nut off in a second. I think Yamaha overtorqued them cuz mine was a bi@tch to take off the first time.
edit: and yes, you have to turn it counter clockwise to loosen it up.

make sure you pull the tabs back, and then get leverage with it, like a big craftsman wrench, i mean like the heavy duty ones, you wont do it with a hand held wrench..
and dont hit it with a impact to put back on cuz you wont be able to tak it off again...my sprocket changes are done in 10 min...alot of practice..

Thanks guys I got it off,It was torqued WAY more than 52 ft lbs like my manual said it took a 16" breaker bar and a 12" pipe it was insane. Im no weakling either. A LOT better than stock with that 12 tooth. Thanks again

The 12 Tooth gave me a lot of low-end and a whole lot of quickness. Its like a whole new bike and its stock I like it alot. The Hole Shots are a very good tire provide forward traction and slide when u need them to. A very good tire.....
