howdy all! i just got my tcs shocks installed and something else is messin up now. any way the shocks rule zero preload adj comp. any who i noticed my base gasket was leaking a bit but decided to rip it anyway.it seemed to foul a plug so i put new in when i kicked it the kicker moved like an eigth of an inch and the thing takes off fine so i shut it off gear up for the track and the pos wont start agian? so i put in another plug and off i go for about 15 min then sputters like shes out o fuel. full tank and no start?anyway i get her home and pull the jug off. when i drained the engine ice it was way low and very dark. there is nothing wrong with the piston or rings cause she read 158 psi compresion. i guess my ? is would a leaky base gasket create these simptoms or should i look to the elec system? i got all parts i need to fix her and hope to have her on the track tomorow. thanks for any input peps....

 

If you got a spare cdi box swap it out this may be your problem need one i got one

 

158 seems low. i was getting 170 out of my 86lt after i installed my new gaskets. i think you should put a new base gasket in it neways just to be on the safe side!

thanks for your input guys i found the problem with her it was were the wires come out of the mag cover to the wire harness there was a pinched wire so ill have to replace trhat then good as new. also could ose a new plug wire.. thanks agian..
