hey knows or thrash i read in the 185 carb post that i need to change the main jet, pilot jet, needle taper to upgrade my 185s carb. Where is the pilot jet, needle taper? my clymer does not point these out. also it says my slow jet is pressed in but my screws out and is part of my rebuild kit. I looked with the naked eye and things look the same as the parts in my 185s carb. Ibought a 200 kit to rebuild my 200 and was going to change the stuff from my old 200 carb and put it in the 185. the only thing wrong with my 200 was the float valve everything else ran good any help would be appreciated [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

The needle taper is referring to the taper of the needle jet that came with the ATC200 carbs. It's the needle up top that goes up and down when you open and close the throttle.

Some kits come with the correct spec jets while others give you a few jets to cover different circumstances[year, elevation, modifications, etc]

Keep in mind that Honda never ran the same main jets in all the trikes even if they are the same model and same year. Depends on assembly line changes midyear and what elevation the unit was shipped to, so check and see what is your bike now before making changes.

Most 185 engines came with mainjets ranging from 92 to 98

Most 200 engines came with mainjets ranging from 95 to 105

Kits are really hard to come by these days since they're not made any more. Your best bet would be get get 200X for other fully suspended machine.
