i went to a private mx track today and was loving it.the machine did awesome over the big jumps but after a few laps i snapped my axle in the woops section.i just replaced it the end of last season after jumping..which is the stronger axle,dura blue or the team industries?im at the point where im about to go trade it in.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img]

 

Well all I have to say is that that really stinks...I know that lately it seems like my scrammy 500 has been in the shop more then my garage...everytime I take it out for a ride something seems to screw up on it...So what I'm going to do is sell it then get a new quad...Its up to you..my opinion is is you keep throwing all this money in your quads (and they're not even for mods) just to get them running and in the end that money could be for a new quad...If you do a lot of jumping and mx then I would look at getting pred...or yfz 450 or 450R....if you have the money to be thinking about that...thats what I would do..just my opinion though

 

Dura Blue axles are known for their heavy duty axles....I would go with them.

I didn't know that Ken, do you happen to know what the lightest axle is, not worrying too much about durability.

 

PLEASE PLEASE listen to me!! DURA-Blue sucks worse then stock. I have broke 4 of them!!!(NO ****) I broke three stocks. After all these axles i all most gave up on the old scrammy But<<< Team industries came out with one so I figured I'd try that . WEll after a year and a half I'm still on that same axle. That Team axle take more abuse then a dura-BLEW would ever think of taking.
So this is how it is DURA-BLEW CAN brake at anytime(had one last less then a week-broke on a jump the height of my *****)
Stock axles will last a while- always took Alot of jumping to brake

TEAM IND---NEVER-bent or broke and has seen MORe air then most small planes--Has been flipped and has smashed into a frozen ice bank backwards from spinning wide open on ice.
I HAVE TRIED TO BRAKE THIS AXLE AND I CAN NOT AS OF YET!!
GET IT TRUST ME!!!!

so the team axle it will be..does it come with the lock collars or nuts or do i need to order them seperate?thanks guys..

 

If I remember right It came with the two outer nuts that hold the wheels on and the two that hold the axle. it also come with collars so you can change the length(wider or off set).
