i copied this right of the honda section on this web site i love to read there section that say how bad there bikes are well here there words on the 450r vs yzf 450.

I've gotta tell ya, I haven't ridden the new 450R but I haven't heard too many good things. What were they thinking making the swingarm 1 inch shorter than '88-'89 250R! I've heard the 450 will wheelie so easy it is just not competetive with the YFZ. I have no intention of selling my 250R but if I had to buy a new quad I don't think it would be the 450R. I've ridden a YFZ and it felt awfully similar to my 250R. Honda's going to be in even more troulble next year because the CC deplacement maximum for pro racing has been raised from 440 to 450. The Honda is already a 450 but the YFZ is only a 440. You better bet Yamaha is going to bump it up to an equal 450 for the 2005 model year. I'm a die-hard Honda fan but from what I have heard Honda is a little off with the 450R.

Nothing like someone trying to stir up a little bit of trouble. I've had my 450R for 2 1/2 months and have put at least a 100 hours on it and have no complaints. It is every bit the quad I had hoped for. So there is one positive opinion of an actual rider to counter someone who has doubts and doesn't own one.

I had started to go in to the pros and cons of each quad (450R and YFZ), but truly that is pointless. Both are great machines and it is ridculous to try and explain this to waterheads that just want to wine and complain.

 

If your going to slam any quad by saying its their owners that are now doubting their quads, at least find a quote from some that has actually RIDDEN the quad. You took that from someone that has never ridden a 450r, and has drawn conclusions based simply on what others have said, and if he took advice from even one person like YOU that information is most likely going to be WRONG. The Honda falls short in my book compared to the yamaha 450. Rode them both. The yamaha has more potential and fewer drawbacks. The new 450r is the best honda has to offer at the moment. Better than walking i suppose. Honda must not like there owners very much. Buy a honda and get roosted on by yamahas. Honda should give every 450r owner a free full face helmet and a chest protector.

 

honda is too busy making money on cars and everything else to worry about putting time into making quads. its too bad... they are the most reliable machines out there.
