Let's talk oil (again)......

So I'm at Checker auto yesterday to get some oil and I come across this Mobil one MX4T 10w-40 4 cycle motorcycle oil.Full synthetic and $2.99 a quart.
Now Turbo cars like my Dodge SRT-4 are reccomended to run Mobil 1 and it is pretty much known to be THE oil for high performance cars.Seems like a good choice formy TRX-450R.The ratings on it are "API SG,SH/CF jaso ma". This would appear to meet the specs in my manual, but I know some people say Full synthetic is not good on clutches. However on the back of the oil,it claims great transmission protection etc.
I'm going to go to the Mobil website & ask them straight up for their oppinion.
What's yours?

Even if it meets specs, I wouldn't spend the extra money, since atv oil can get dirty so fast. You really wouldn't be able to take advantage of the extra life/durability of the oil over standard stuff since its changed so often. (As opposed to a car, where you can actually wait longer between oil changes with synthetic.)

The oil you came across is usually $ 8.00 a quart and worth every penny. For my quad, extra protection with oil is money well spent. You may skip a change, forget it, or have a long weekend race. Top quality synthetic oil for your hi performance quad is wise.

Do yourself a favor and run a JASO MB in the engine, and of course a JASO MA in the trans. If you don't, you aren't taking full advantage of the engines "split case".

Lancester, that's a great price for Mobil 1! I use Amsoil 0-40w in all my quads. No worries about your clutch slipping with Amsoil. In my opinion it's the best oil for your quad. Amsoil uses superior base stocks in their oils compared to Mobil 1, no hype just fact!
