It costs me $0.84 per quart more than PS-4 at my cost on both. What are you paying retail?

The 0-40w is great oil, smoother shifting and superior engine protection, I'm using it in all my quads.

Ive been using the polaris oil p4. I noticed this motor runs hotter than my DS 650 did. Is this why polaris wants you to use the p4 becuse of the heat? I use to run regular torco oil in my ds but i would change my oil every three rides. Is anyone using regular torco or other nonsynthetic oil on there pred ?

0w-40 isn't any thinner at temp than 10w-40. That's what the 40 is - the viscosity at high temp. The only time it's thinner is when it's stone cold. Allows for better flow at start-up. In the real world, you'd probably never notice any difference between the two. Just keep using Amsoil and you'll be fine.
