Hey all...

Joined the forum a few months ago when I was looking to buy my first ATV. I ended-up buying a 2k4 Honda Rancher 350es, and am very happy with my decision - and thanks for input.


Well,
I was at my Honda dealership yesterday getting the state inspection on my CBR and ended-up trading it in...

Picked-up a 2k4 Honda 400ex (yellow)...

So I now have two quads in the garage, and am pretty pleased with the whole thing. I am wondering tho...is there anything that I need to pay special attention to on either bike?
Also, I figure by this time next year the 400 will have all new skid-plates, a pipe, and maybe a twist grip...what else should I look into? Are there any quick, inexpensive mods that I should do right away? I will most likely not get into motor work (internal), but that is subject to change... Welcome and Congrats on the purchase, you need to get some pictures up now...

 

you should get cams or something maybe even carbs it depends if you want and or need it to go faster also you should get suspension that makes the biggest improvement in my book

 

Get a pipe quick! congrats on the purchase the 400ex is an excellent machine.

 

Congrats on the quads. I have a 400ex and have often thought how nice it would be to have a utility and have the best of both worlds. Anyway, my 400 responded really well to a K&N and a pipe. I opted for the FMF PowerBomb header with the Q-series muffler. Again, real happy with it.
