Powroll.com has a 330 big bore, or a 352 stroker. They also have a305 that uses the stock sleeve, cheap and reliable.

Which one is reliable, and will still provide lots of power? Also, does the 330 kit really improve power that much? Will it run with stock 400ex's? Thanks

Default Best 300EX Big Bore Kit?

Ive had the powroll 352 and the 406 kit in my 300ex. Both kits had 350x intake valves ,web cam 254,hd valve springs,35mm lectron,400ex exhaust, full race porting, sparks rev box. The 352 kit had the heavy duty rod which I highly recomend.
The 352 had good low end and mid range but top end was very strong ,in fact it was a rev monster. Very fun. It was close to a 400ex but would not beat a stock one. It also fatigued the crank from excessive overrev for 2 years that one of the webs broke.

When the 352 blew I went to the 406 . It was completely different. Incredible low end and average top end. I could start out in 5th gear and it wouldnt even hesitate. It didnt feel like it but was just a little faster than a stock 400ex.

I recomend not spending a dime hopping up a 300ex and buy a 400ex. Its far cheaper ,more reliable and has a chassis that can handle the power.
