I dot mine so out of wack that i will never get it right i need to get an all new set and adjust them all over again. i think i messed with the needle things like with the pin that cuts the gas off. I want some carbs that will not spit and spudder so help me out

Have you considered the Edelbrock?

I love my FCR's, but they cost a pretty penny. No sputtering here.

How does the Edelbrock compair to the FCR's? Especially in terms of top end?

I dont think the FCR's and the Edelbrock are compareable? I had a buddy use them awhile back and he dialed them in the best he and Edelbrock could do and he got rid of them for the FCR's. He said he didnt like the top end it had.

I like my FCR's and wont trade them for nothing at the moment. Well, until something better comes out.....

From what I have seen and heard the stock carbs modded have significant top end advantages over the fcr's. Alaskayfm and a few other guys run the edelbrock and love the setup. The fact that the fcr's are a pain to jet and run 800+ new, 600 if you get a deal used, have pressured me to think of an edelbrock setup as well.

I'm afraid to get new carbs and have to deal with rejetting again with this 686...I spent alot of money to get them dialed in on a Dyno and don't wanna pay it again. I'm afraid I won't be able to jet it good enough on my own cause of the problems I had with the stock ones.
