Hi All,
I have a 1988 Yamaha Blaster. I have a few problems with it and I do not have a lot of experience with it so I need some help.

It will not start. The only way I can get it to start is by pouring a little bit of gas down the sparkplug hole then 2 kicks and it starts everytime. Any ideas on what is wrong? I just put ina brand new needle and seat and it made no difference. Also once I get it started and warmed up i have an idling problem. This has only happened a couple times. It is idling smooth then goes to wide open throttle and I am not even on it. What is causing this? Any ideas on what to check/replace?

Thanks,
Scott

Sounds like an air leak. Time to do a leak down test.

Also might not hurt to check the reeds.
