Price check and advice on 02 Raptor.
#1
Hi, I am new here and have a few questions. I have the opportunity to buy an 02 Raptor. I haven't seen it yet, but I am told that it has an aftermarket pipe (white brothers) and aftermarket clutch. It its suppose to be in real good shape except for the tires. Apparently it has been ridden on the road alot.
I'm not looking to outrun every other atv on the market. Whats more important to me is to have one that is tough and reliable with the fewest flaws.
When I get the opportunity to look at the Raptor, what should I look for considering that it is used. I plan on listening to the engine for abnormal noises, looking at the undercarriage and suspension for cracks and dents, I will check the wheel bearings, and of course last but not least......ride it!
The price seems very fair considering that its in good condition..... $2600.
Looks to be plenty of experts in here, so any feedback is welcome.

push on it in different spots to make sure it doesnt fall apart lol and roll it(not flip)forwards or backwards to look if the axle is bent start it a few times to make sure the one way bearing and all of that stuff is good and shift through all of the gears if possible to make sure they work check high and low beams and even if some minor things are wrong its a score for 2600 and good luck and have fun

I found out last night that the starter is giving him problems and that he is going to have it fixed before he sells it.... $2600 is sounding pretty good, although I will have to buy new tires for it as soon as I get it.
