I need to see if anyone has had these experiences. First of all,I've had no problems with the bike and love it. However, sometimes when I go through deep water or mud it seems to sputter a bit. It's not slipping but seems to flood out a few seconds and doesn't rev very high. Once out of the hole, it quits in a few seconds. Again, it seems like it floods a little, but not splipping and doesn't do it every time. Anybody know the cause of this?? I may check with the dealer but hate to leave it there. Also, my dealer said the only thing they have had go wrong w/them is a few thermo sensors that makes the fan kick on. My bike has never overheated on 40 mile rides so I guess mine is ok. The fan does not seem to kick on much though or I can't tell if it's on. Any info appreciated...

I have had mine now for about 3 months, it just started doing the sputtering the last couple of times out. Only in water or mud, and like you say it quits once your out of it. I have even had mine die out on me once. I have a feeling that one of the breather tubes has come loose, but I have not found it yet. I did check my air box the last time it did it and it was dry. If I find it I will let you know...

Mine did exactly the same, sputtering when in deep water. From another posts someone suggested filling the sparkplug boot with dielectric grease then replacing the boot on the plug. This is something all the serious mudriders do here in the Bayou country. It has worked for me so far. I purchased a tube of the dielectric grease at the local NAPA parts store.

That sounds like it may be it. I think the new engine design with the slanted angle for better center of gravity, may make the plug more vulnerable to water. Appreciate the tip and will let you know...

The dielectric grease worked like a charm. I went in holes over the wheels and no sputter. Thanks for the tip...

I have the same problem and my dealer has no ideas
I think it has something to do ignition wet. I'll keep trying ideas and let you know.
